Stress Relief

Updated: Aug 27, 2021

It's no surprise that many of us are finding the current situation stressful. It may be that the news and the impact of the virus is causing you stress, or perhaps you have an additional workload which can be overwhelming, or a lack of work which is causing anxiety, or maybe being cooped up indoors is having a real impact on your mental health for a variety of reasons.

We are all struggling with the situation in different ways. It is important that we carve out some time to focus on our mental health regardless. The NHS are recommending that we all use yoga to help with this. It is an activity that can be done at home, with almost no equipment, with huge benefits for both physical and mental health.

If you are finding that you are anxious, depressed, stressed, or struggling with insomnia or vivid dreams then there is strong evidence that yoga can provide some relief. Moving your body is a proven way to boost your mood, stretching and releasing the tension from your shoulders and neck can help with sending signals to your brain that you can relax, and practicing relaxation techniques can ensure you have a better night's sleep.

At Clifton Sky Yoga we have a variety of online yoga offerings to suit everyone. We run weekly yoga classes on Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 10am. We have weekly workshops on Saturdays at 2pm. We offer one to one yoga sessions at a time to suit you. And we have a youtube channel with short videos that can be watched at any time.

The regular classes cost £4 per class, the workshops are £10 per workshop, and the one to one sessions are £15. Our youtube videos are of course free but we do ask that you subscribe to our channel.

To pay for a class then simply send the funds to our paypal account: "contact@cliftonskyyoga.co.uk" and then show up on your mat a minute or so before the class is due to start. The zoom details for the classes are as follows:
