We have been working with some great suppliers to kit out the studio. It is really important to us that our suppliers are ethical and environmentally conscious.
Our hammocks are purchased from Pink Namaste. Pink Namaste supply fair trade yoga products by supporting small cooperatives in South India. They have a fair trade relationship with these cooperatives and they use recycled and organic materials wherever possible. They also donate part of their profits to Indian charities.
Our yoga blocks, bricks and bolsters are all supplied by Ekotex. The blocks and bricks are made from cork and are supplied in plastic free packaging. The bolsters are made from organic cotton and they carry a specific certification which means that everyone who has worked on the products is paid a fair wage in a safe environment. They are also partnered with Yoga Stops Traffick, an organisation that funds the rescue of and the safe housing for those who are victims of human trafficking in India.
Our yoga mats are supplied by Yogi Bare. We were keen to use these mats due to their non slip surface which is useful during yoga practice. They are also really easy to keep clean due to their smooth surface. Hygiene is imperative when mats are shared! Yogi Bare are a UK based company and their mats are produced in Hong Kong. They pride themselves on the factory workers receiving fair pay while working in an ethical and safe environment. They also make conscious choices to reduce their environmental impact, from the sourcing of their rubber from sustainable forests, to delivering the mats in 100% recyclable packaging.
We are proud to support these companies and we recommend that you buy your yoga accessories from them for your home practice during this time. Once the studio is open you will be able to purchase their products directly from us.
